Studio portraits are a wonderful way of capturing people at their best, natural light on the other hand simply can't be beaten for natural relaxed portraits like this one of my Dad

A few shots from HATS technical rehearsal of their production of Sword and the stone pantomime. Tricky lighting and lots of movement to contend with but I'm happy with the results and so are HATS who will be using these as publicity shots.

Fire Brigade to the rescue

Lots of action outside my bedroom window as a neighbours house catches fire, 3 fire engines and 40 or so firemen turned out to control the damage. my camera was close to hand so took a few shots to record the event to show the kids.

The processing of an image is a creative process, it allows me to realise the image in my minds eye, when i take the photograph. This self portrait taken in the back garden, once processed became a dark gothic portrait.

The opportunity to share a bucket of fish with these penguins allowed me to get some really great shots from close quarters
